Wisps: A mages companion

So I figured out what I wanted the mages to be able to summon. Instead of large creatures I thought up small, floating wisps. Each mage can summon one, and some have their wisps with them at all times. Each wisp has a different shape for each mage. Marlena's wisp is a butterfly, The Witch of Deveron's wisp is a  crow, and Agoth's wisp is a falcon. Victoria's wisp is special, instead of one wisp she has three, and they don't have definite shapes, no one has ever recorded this before, and everyone is stunned and amazed by this. Wisps also show the mood of the user, changing color, they do have a base color though, but everyone is different. Marlena's is purple, The Witch's black, Agoth's is red, and Victoria's are silver. Wisp don't engage in direct combat, but they can spy on enemies, and black mages use them to posses other mages. There are ancient scrolls that dicated certain mages being able to turn their wisps into powerful weapons. But no has seen this act for eons.

Hope everyone enjoyed these post and likes my new story, I am going to write out the first chapter soon, I hope it turns out well.

P.S. I will be up my cabin for the next two days, so now updates then. Sorry guys.

The Seventeenth Day: Banshees and Bad Guys

So this is a banshee, they are prominent bad guys in my new story. Banshees are created when white mages are sacrificed to dark gods by black mages. Their throats are cut, their hearts ripped out, and all the blood drained from their bodies, hence the open hole in the chest, the ripped throat and the multiple cuts. Their scream does immense damage to foes, and if they get close they rip out your heart, forever seeking to replace the one they lost. They float along ground like the wind, silent until their ear splitting screech echoes throughout the land.

These are some of the other, less prominent baddies. The flower monster is called a Virepod. They sneak along the ground like snakes, then constrict their prey crushing it like an anaconda does, they then injest the prey whole. The large snake creature is a Drikai Leviathan. They are ancient creatures that are very rare and hardly seen. They burrow underground, digging large holes to drag enemies into.  And the flying creature is a Wudan. They fly in large flocks, preferring to attack their prey in large groups, ripping it asunder with their large claws and beaks.

The Sixteenth Day: Evrac

Only one drawing today, sorry but I just kept getting distracted. It probably doesn't help that I was up till four in the morning playing on my DSI. Anyway, these blobby, tar like creatures are the Evrac, I was going to draw a single Evrac, but I had this great idea to draw them flowing upward out of a jar. A single Evrac is about the size of a soccer ball but they can change their shape into almost anything. Tables, rocks, humans, whatever their master demands, however whatever they change into remains black and sticky. These creatures aren't challenging to defeat in small amounts but get more than 20 together and you have trouble on your hands.

Tomorrow I will hopefully post some pictures of more bad guys and possibly the creatures the mages can summon.

Creating the Characters

So I had alot of fun designing these characters. I looked alot at Steampunk fashion pictures, and realized alot of the stuff I draw is already Steampunk-ish already. Besides Victoria, the character that took me longest to draw was The Witch. I loved drawing everyone though. I love Agoth's sleevless coat, and The Witch's entire outfit turned out amazing. Marlena's hair was awesome and turned exactly how I saw it in my head. All the characters are amazing and tomorrow I am going to start drawing some more enemies and I came up with an idea that every mage has a creature they can summon to aid them, sort of like the Aeons from Final Fantasy X (BEST GAME IN THE WORLD, SEQUEL IS EQUALLY AS AWESOME). Now I'm not sure if these creatures will be giant or what, I think I shall let my pencil guide me and see what happens.

The Fifteenth Day: New Story, More Characters

So finally got time to post the back stories of more of the characters in my new story.

This is Agoth, the royal wizard Vedrac. Being only 25 he is the youngest mage to reach the Zenoth class of magic. He has worked at the palace since he graduated from his sorcery lessons at the Royal Magic School of Japolean. He meets Victoria and immediatly sees the spark of magic in her. Wise way beyond his years Agoth decides to teach her his ways. Instantly he can tell that she will be a great mage, and easily reach the Zenoth class. After The Witch of Deveron's attack on the palace he realizes that Victoria must leave the castle and journey to meet The Witch and defeat her.
This is Marlena, the Queen of Vedrac and the surrounding nations.  She is extremely beautiful, but also intelligent. Rumored to be part Fey (fairy), she became queen when she married King Robsum, who died in war shortly after. Now the soul ruler of the kingdom she has become one of the greatest. Keeping the kingdom peaceful and happy she is much loved by her subjects. Unbeknownst to Agoth, she knows of his magic lessons with Victoria, and though she remains quiet she absolutly approves. Victoria is The Queen's hand maiden, and Marlena knew the moment she saw her she knew Victoria was brimming with magic.  It was actually Marlena who forsaw the great journey Victoria would go on, and she told this to Agoth, who agreed, having a similar vision himself.

This is The Witch of Deveron, her real name is unknown lost eons ago. All simply know her as The Witch of Deveron. She first appeared in Japolean during the War of Shadows, a great war that she herself started. During this war Marlena married into the kingdom. It was The Witch herself who killed Marlena's husband. The Witch was finally defeated when a group of mages managed to destroy her or so they thought. She has returned but her reasons remain unknown. She does however bear  scars from the war, due to the porcelin mask she wears upon her face. She hasn't really made herself known though, until she attacked the palace with her Evrac, tar like blob masses that assume many shapes and sizes. Her true goals remain unknown but everyone in the kingdom knows they cannont be good.

The Fourteenth Day: New Story

So yesterday was my last day of English class. For our final we had to write a paper, we had three choices, write about a current event, compare and contrast something, or write a story. Now of course I chose to write a story and the idea I came up with was totally awesome. The story was about a maid named Victoria who works in the Queen's palace. While working there she meets the royal wizard Agoth, the two become close friends and he proceeds to teach Victoria the ways of magic and she quickly goes from pupil class to a second class sorceress. However the castle is attacked by The Witch of Deveron, a woman once believed to be dead. Victoria is sent on a mission to discover what she is up too, along the way learning more magic and more about herself. Now I didn't right all of this in class, but I do plan to write it out and publish it here.

This is Victoria, the main character of the story. She works as a royal maid at the palace of Vedrac in the city of Naperol. She started at sixteen and is now 19 (nearly twenty). She loves her job but what makes it better is the wizard Agoth. Shes been learning his magic for nearly 3 years now, and loves every moment of it. She is an unofficial second class sorceress. Confident in her skills and always eager to learn more Victoria is an amazing student and will  soon progress to become an adapt sorceress. Magic in the world of Japolean, the world where Victoria lives, is set up in a system of class. Starting with Pupil class, then moving to Third, Second, First, and Zenoth class. Only the strongest mages make it to the Zenoth class, however there are ancient stories of mages moving on to a level known only in whispers as the "Billax" class, a class of mage so powerful nothing would be able to stand up to him/her.

Tomorrow I will upload pctures of Agoth, and the other characters from this new story. Oh if anyone has any ideas for a title I'm willing to hear them out, because I'm totally stumped haha.

The Thirteenth Day: Kraken Alexiaa

So I totally came home yesterday after my last class and went for a walk to the grocery store, then after ward came home again and passed out on my couch. So obviously no post yesterday, I'm sorry readers. But I have plenty of new drawings for today.

I drew Alexiaa in her kraken form, and after much erasing and new sheets of paper it turned out pretty good. The thing I had trouble with most was her face. I couldn't figure out how to make, did I want humanoid or totally crazy, finally I figured on crazy opening flower type thing. Overall I like this drawing. I'm getting better at drawing giant monster things.

Howl's Moving Castle Review

I decided to do a review of the amazing movie Howl's Moving Castle. True, it is not a comic book (which I said I would review) or a video game. But this movie is just so good, I have to talk about it.

The animated movie Howl's Moving Castle was in fact based a young adult fantasy novel by British author Diana Wynne Jones. It came out in 1986 and won many awards. In 2005 Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki, whose work I absolutly adore, adapted it into a film with Studio Ghibli.

The plot of the movie is funny and exciting. The main character Sophie is a hat maker in her later father's shop and she accidently meets the wizard Howl. He takes a liking to her, which in turns draws the attention of sorceress called the Witch of The Waste. She wants Howl for herself so she curses Sophie, turning her into an old crone. Shocked by her new appearance, she runs away, befriending a scarecrow she names Turnip Head. Together they stumble upon Howl's castle and Sophie takes up residence lying to Howl that she's his new cleaing lady. Now I don't want to give away to much of the plot, but there is war, and kings and queens, monsters and magic. Howl's Moving Castle is an amazing movie with stunning artwork and voice acting from Christian Bale,  Jean Simmons, and Billy Crystal. I suggest that anyone interested in fantasy and awesome movies in general watch this film.

The Twelfth Day: Completed Man Sex Drawing

I posted this picture extra big because:  I FUCKING LOVE IT!!!! I am soo happy with how this turned out, I'm really proud of it. It's my first succesful drawing of guys doing it. I especially love Tristan's face as he sits on The Baron's member lol. I would love to hear comments and people's views on this piece, I'm so proud of it, I hope everyone else is.

Man Sex preliminary sketch

Previous attempts for me to draw to dudes getting it on ended badly, I believe it was the way I went around doing the first sketch. I was determined to draw The Baron and Tristan going at it, so this time instead of doing the normal "blocky" sketch I did a gesture drawing, and as you can see it is looking awesome. Now I know this is only a sketch but I wanted to post it so you guys can see my progress. Probably by the end of tomorrow I will have the finished inked drawing. Hopefully it goes well and turns out as awesome as I imagine it will. Wish me luck!

The Baron and Tristan Naked!!!

It seems like forever since I drew a penis. Finally today I got the chance to draw The Baron and Tristan naked. I originally started drawing The Baron sitting down, but it looked weird so I decided a standing pic was better. I love how he turned out, I was very pleased. The same is for Tristan, I think my favorite thing about his pic is the way his pants bunch up around the tops of his boots. The roses were a last minute add one and I love how they added to the drawing.

The Eleventh Day: Baron close up

So today I was having a hard time drawing The Baron for some reason, so I decided to draw a portrait of him to help with it. I really like how this turned out, they way his hair looks and stubble are awesome. I especially love his earrings. Sometimes I draw a close up pic because it helps when I draw them full body. Eh, nothing else to say really about this drawing.

The Duchess

This is the Duchess, Alexiaa's right hand woman in her campaign to take over Neveron. Her powers include a sonic screech hence the elongated jaw, and enhanced speed, along with huge talon like finger nails. She is a ruthless killer and will do whatever it takes to get where she wants. She sides with Alexiaa for the time being but knows that Alexiaa will throw her under the bus when the time comes, Alexiaa knows that The Duchess will do the same thing to her. The Duchess is supposed to have a body guard but I am having trouble coming up with designs for it. I tried making a half man/half scorpion thing, and then a mechanical type contraption. I wasn't pleased with the sketches I came up with. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would be happy to hear them. I am thinking of doing a second story devoted to The Duchess as the main enemy, she turned out extremely awesome.

Color Theory Class

LAST DAY OF COLOR THEORY CLASS!!!!! Today was the last day of my color theory class, and might I just say thank god. I absolutly hate that class. I don't even feel I learned about colors at all. Besides I don't believe there has to be this huge thought process behind coloring things. If I want to make something red I'll make it red, if it looks good I'm gonna do it, I don't care if red means anger and passion. But enough ranting, I thought I would post some of my more recent projects from that class.

I love how this turned out. Of all my projects turned in, this one is my favorite. If this could have been my final I totally would have turned it in for that. However my teacher didn't like how I left certain parts of those two circles white. I did that to provide a contrast from the background and other dark colors, plus it looks awesome.

This was my final for the class, for the assigment we had to create a poster, or book cover, cd cover, dvd cover etc. and then recreate it on the computer (which is bogus because not everyone knows how to draw on the computer). So I picked a travel poster and I picked Egypt because pyramids wouldn't be that hard to draw. I both like and hate this project, I like it's simplicity but also think it's too simple. My teacher loved it though and the class actually applauded it. Well at least class ended on a good note.

The Tenth Day (woot): Ruben via Kingdom Hearts

Ok so everyone knows I'm obbessed with Kingdom Hearts, and that my friend Ruben told me to draw myself as a character from the game. Well he later asked me to draw himself as a character. He told me he didn't want keyblades, but instead described to me this crazy arm weapon thing. So today during color theory I  drew this awesome picture. I am so proud of this, the detail and everything turned out awesome. However when I finished me and Ruben both agreed that it didn't look like it belonged in the Kingdom Hearts realm, but he said it looked like something from Mad Max. Either way this picture is awesome.

Monsters and "The Spikes"

Today I drew out some of the monsters that Alexiaa rules over in my new story. They include Vitherspawn, Enlayus, and Alessai. There are also a group of zombie type creatures known as "The Spikes".

OK, so these are the first three creatures I mentioned above, the Vitherspawn, Enlayus, and Alessai.

The Vitherspawn is the top most creature, the slug/worm type thing. This creature is completely blind, however is has extremely good hearing, and a great sense of taste. This creature slides along the ground while its tentacle like "tongues" move back in front in front of it, the feelers at the end can "taste" scents, and help it determine where it is going. They also act as the creatures form of defense, enstricting enemies and pulling them into its mouth to be devoured (or slowly digested alive since the creature has no teeth) or slamming enemies onto it back, where the tentacles there hold onto it, this comes in handy when enemies need to be taken back to Alexiaa.

The next creature, the one in the bottom right corner, is the Enlayus. This creature acts as Alexiaa's eyes. The mass amount of tentacle like arms allow it to cling to trees and walls to spy on enemies and everything else. It's "eyelashes" also act a protection from attack since this creature has no form of attack other than strangling enemies with its tentacles.

The final creature is the Alessai, otherwise known as the "living cage". This creature acts as a prison for the enemies of Alexiaa who are foolish enough to get close to it. This creature can move, but very slowly, it prefers to remain still, pretending to be a tree. When an enemy gets close it reels it in with its roots and vines, then closes its bar-like arms, trapping the being inside. The Alessai have a symbiotic relationship with the Vitherspawn and Enlayus, whenever it catches someone they both arrive, the Enlayus determines if the creature trapped inside is needed by Alexiaa, if not the Alessai absorbs nutrients from the trapped enemy, then throws out the left overs for the Vitherspawn to eat. If, however, the trapped being is need the living cage throws it out onto the Vitherspawn's back to be taken back to Alexiaa.

These creatures are known as "The Spike", Alexiaa's finest creations. They originally humans, but Alexiaa captured them and transformed them into zombie like versions. Now when I say zombie, I don't mean slow moving, clumsy zombie, I mean 28 Days Later crazy hyped up super zombie. They are mentally connected to Alexiaa so whatever they see, she sees. She can also control and send orders this way. The Spike males have really long claws and the females have crab-like claws and hoof-like feet. The woman are the more dangerous of the group because their midsections (the area where the line of spikes is in the drawing) actually split open acting as a second mouth used to decapitat and mutilate enemies. The men are extremely fast and strong making them tough enemies for Tristan and The Baron. None of The Spikes can speak and lack intelligence execpt for whatever orders their mistress gives them.

Well that's all for tonight, hope everyone likes my ideas for creatures.

The Story

I was working on the story about The Baron and Tristan and figured everything out. Alexiaa is the ruler of the Extremeties, the outer area of Neveron. She is planning on launching an attack onto Echron, which is the area of Neveron The Baron rules over. She is aided by creatures she has created, and by a woman known as "The Duchess" and her bodyguard. Tristan is teleported to Neveron and actually encounters Alexiaa when he lands in the Extremeties. The Baron rescues him and they both go to his northern estaste to discuss the situation, amongst other things *wink wink* The rest of the story involves epic battles between Tristan and Alexiaa's minions and The Baron and The Duchess. Alexiaa performs an ancient ritual that transforms herself into and eight armed Kraken giving her the power to take over all of Neveron.

This is a map of the world of Neveron, along with The Baron's land and the Extremeties. Now I'm no cartographer, and I don't have the patience and put extreme amounts of detail into things like this. This map is merely to help illustrate the world of Neveron and the areas within it.

The Ninth Day: Roller Blades

Today I am so happy because I finally bought myself some roller blades. I've been trying to get some exercise into my schedule, but weight lifting and running is too hard on my asthma, and walking gets old. I had a hard time figuring out what to do, and then I remember roller blading, which is alot like speed skating (one of my favorite sports). So today I went out and bought myself a pair of DBX Reaction blades. And might I just say they are the most bad ass things EVER!!!

The Baron and Tristan

This is the best pic I've drawn of The Baron, I think next time I will ease off with the stubble though. I kept this post separate from the previous post because I wanted to use this one to desribe The Baron's character and Tristans since I haven't done that yet.

Name: The Baron (full name unknown)
Age: 28
Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 180
Haircolor: Black
Eye color: Brown

Lives in an alternate version of Earth called Neveron. This world is basically eternally stuck in a sort of Victorian time loop. No real technology like computers and tv, but alternate versions exist like "viewing screens" and "Portal Walls", and the people of Neveron do know of Earth and what exist there. The Baron rules over almost all of Neveron, his estates and castles scatter the region and citizens love having him as their ruler. The outer regions of Neveron, known as the Extremities, are ruled by smaller dynasties, kings and queens, duchesses and dukes, along with tribal groups and religous extremists and cults. The Baron is in fact half demon, however this does not affect his appearence. It does give him special powers, like strength, speed, and agility, along with telekinesis and flame powers. Being half demon also gives him some execptional "other" qualities.

And this, you all know, is Tristan. Now I'm not going to go into his powers because I already listed them in a previous post.

Name: Tristan Michael
Age: 19
Height: 6' 0"
Weight: 175
Hair: Light brown/red
Eyes: Green

Tristan lives on Earth, though due to being a Rose Stone bearer, he's always getting dragged from one dimension to another. He first was given the Rose Stone when a demon attacked his high school during a pep rally, just to give the stone to him. Now he's in college and has become used to the ups and downs of the Stone. His first boyfriend was Thuriel, an angel he rescued from a demon, but I've sort of erased that past and I am introducing The Baron. Tristan lives in the city of Archon (a city I made up, though if drawn out it would resemble Pittsburgh), and has his own apartment, he can use the Rose Stone to create money but he does make a living as a gogo boy for a local club.

Well thats all for tonight, tomorrow I will post final story ideas for the Tristan and Baron story, goodnight!!

Tristan and The Baron: Love at First Site

So I've started my drawing for story of how Tristan and The Baron meet. As for exact details of the story I'm not so clear on that. I've figured out the main bad guy but I'm still not clear on why they are bad and what their goal is. I'm thinking maybe the bad guy (Alexiaa) is trying to usurp The Baron's kingdom from him. I'm actually coming up with ideas while writing this entry.

Now the character Alexiaa is actually from a dream I had three days ago, in the dream she wore a white dress and had eyes in her shoulders, there were also eyes along her back, along with protruding spikes. But later in the dream the eyes on her spine disapeared and she grew six arms out of her back, each wielding weapons. Now normally I don't remember my dreams right after I wake up but luckily this one wasn't forgotten. I finished the drawing of her today and love it.

As for the story details, I will flesh them out tomorrow, but I would love to hear suggestions and ideas plus comments on my drawings, I hope everyone enjoys them.

Random Tristan Drawing

So this in just a random picture of Tristan I drew during my color theory class (it's not like I'm learning anything, the teacher can hardly speak english). I tried to give him a shield that kinda covers his arm, but I dunno I guess it worked ha ha. I also gave him a different sword, normally when he generates a weapon, its either a katana or an axe. This time I decided to give him a broadsword.

The Eight Day: Hiking at Mingo Creek

Well today was fun for me, me and my family went on a picnic/hike to a local area called Mingo Creek. The car ride was exhausting however due to the fact that my dog River has an unlimited amount of energy, I believe she is solar charged. However once we reached the park we let her out and everything was fun. My little brother, my dad, and I decided to hike up this trail to this big open field. It was very pretty especially since the grass hadn't grown that high yet (last year it was up to our knees) so the danger of ticks was low. I took alot of pictures (now I'm no photographer) but most of them are with my regular camera so I have to get the film developed, but I did take some with my phone that I will post.

these pictures are of a natural spring we found while hiking, the water comes from under those bricks at the back.

and here is me standing on top of a tree stump, I know epic.

The Seventh Day: JESUS CHRONICLES PART FOUR!!!

Four those of you who read my Jesus Chronicles series on Facebook, and for those of you who just discovered them, you'll all be glad to know that I just finished part four. Let me know how you like it, I really believe this one is quite funny. And if anyone is extremely religious or easily offended or both, then don't read it.

Well it turns out the devil did have a webcam, but we were to busy doing “other things” to worry about that. However one day, as I was doing the dishes, again, Jesus popped up again.

POOF!!!

Me: For christ's sake, can't you knock and why must you bother me while I do the dishes!!!

Jesus: I am sorry but we gotta go right now!!

Me: What is it, do you need a pancake fix, I got some instant batter if that's the issue.

Jesus: NO I DON'T NEED PANCAKES!!! The world is going to end soon, I thought I would be nice and save you from it.

Me: Oh is this about Toy Story 3, you really think the world is going to end, I think the Devil would have informed me.

Jesus: Oh well ummm this is embarrassing.

Me: What is, is there something you should be telling me Jesus, are you keeping secrets?

Jesus: Ummm, well the truth is, I didn't come here because of the apocolypse, which isn't really going to happen, but because well...

Me: What is it, spit it out already Jesus, how do you get anything done, no wonder angels speak for you.

Jesus: I'M ATTRACTED TO YOU OK? I'M SECRETLY FREAKING IN LOVE WITH YOU, OH MY GOD CAN YOU LET A MAN SPEAK!!!

Me: Ok ok, don't crucify me (heh heh), so Jesus the almighty is a secret homosexual, how about that.

POOF!!!

Mary: (drunken slur) I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT ALL ALONG, EVER SINCE THAT SUCKER POPPED OUT MY VIRGIN VAGINA, I SAID “HE'S GONNA LIKE THE PENIS SOMEDAY!!!!

Jesus: MOTHER!!! would you please quite down, and why didn't you say anything earlier?

Mary: Oh I'm sorry, I was to busy dealing with the fact that I just birthed a magical angel light beam baby, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME, I GUESS I'M JUST SO SELFISH!!!

Me: Maybe we should just all calm down, huh, Mary I have some very nice vodka over at the bar, would you like some?

Mary: You better you sweet tushy I would, where is the stuff?!?!?!?!?

While Mary was busy fixing a VERY big drink, the Devil also appeared.

POOF!!!(only with flames and stuff, he is the Devil)

Devil: So I heard through the grapevine that someone is a homosexual?

Jesus: How do you learn these so fast, seriously?

Me: Maybe he's like Santa Claus, sees you when your sleeping and stuff, OMG ARE YOU SANTA!!! Does Santa really exist, cause I can only take so much of this.

Devil: No I'm not Santa, and you can find out for yourself someday if he is real, and Jesus, I see everything. Plus we all knew it would happen someday.

Jesus: What do you mean you all knew, for crying out loud this is ridiculous.

Mary: Stop whining (hiccup) it's OK that your gay, it's those crazy people you like believe in you and stuff that'll be pissed, man I can see their faces, HA HA HA HA HA HA(hiccup)

Me: Yeah, but how exactly would they even find out, it's not like anyone has really seen you, well exept me, which I'm still not sure why it was me, but whatever.

Devil: I agree I don't think Jesus has anything to worry about its just funny as hell, ha haha (get it funny as hell and I'm the Devil)

Jesus: Yes, that's soo funny, hardy har har. I hate you all, I come down here, to tell Kyle I'm a homosexual and you all take it as a joke.

Me: Hey, I didn't even say anything, the patron saint of alcoholism over there poofed over before I could even get a word out.

Mary: (to Jesus) Say you like the penis

Jesus: What?!?!

Mary: SAY YOU LIKE THE PENIS, sheesh are you deaf

Jesus: I will not say “I like the penis” that is completely horri-

Mary: HE SAID IT, HE SAID HE LIKES THE PENIS!!!!! WOOO HOO!!!

Jesus: Oh I've had enough of this, I'm outta here POOF

Devil: (to Mary) You should follow him, I'm sure he'd love to have you along to wherever he's going

Mary: Yeah your probably right, who wouldn't want me as their fag hag, and I'm off POOF (hiccup)

Me: What about you, where you gonna go?

Devil: I was gonna chill here, I'm sure you could think of something to keep me entertained

Me: Oh I bet I could *wink wink*

The Sixth Day: Amulet Review

Well I thought I would start a new thing, I'm thinking every week I'll either review a comic/graphic novel I've read, or a video game I've played. I thought it would be cool to try plus it'll encourage readers to do new things, plus there are just some days I don't feel like drawing.

Today's review is on the graphic novel series The Amulet, by Kazu Kibuishi. I first discovered this series when I went to the Carnegie libary of the Oakland area here in Pittsburgh. Now I did as I always did and zoomed straight to the back of the library where they house the graphic novels. I walked the shelves for what felt like hours, grabbing every book that struck my fancy until I had a pile about 2 feet high. As I carried the books to my dad's car and started reading them on the ride home, one particular book captured my attention more than the others. It was The Amulet, a stunning graphic novel filled with adventure and mayhem, and everything else to keep you glued to it.

The story is about a young girl who's father is killed in a tragic car accident, after picking up the pieces of their lives, the girl's mother moves the family to an old run down mansion in the country. As our main character and her brother investigate the mysterious library belonging to their long missing great grandfather, she discovers a mysterious amulet. Later that night, her mother is stolen away to another world where she and her brother must venture to save her. There is also a sequel out to this series and a third one hopefully will be out soon. The Amulet is one of the best series I've read and the art is amazing also.

These images are all from Kazu Kibuishi's site, I do not own them nor own the rights to them, they are mearly here for informational purposes.

New Potential Story Ideas

While writting my two previous post I came up with multiple story ideas, here they are and in the order I will draw them out:

  1. Tristan meeting the Baron
  2. The Baron and Tristan tying the knot
  3. and Tristan discovering he's a god/demi god.
Now I haven't started drawing these yet so if readers have ideas or suggestions, please tell me I'm happy to hear them.

Tristan and Baron drawings

There isn't really anything to say about these, they are two drawing of Tristan and his new boyfriend the Baron. I finally got inspired for a story and I am going to draw how they first met, and I think after ward they might get married too, not quite sure yet. I really like the Baron's character, hes strong but silent, and lives in like 6 different castles.

The Fifth Day: Cold Fury Art work

Well I suppose I should have posted these pieces with the story Cold Fury, but I decided to wait. When I drew Tristan I wanted to make him more manly than normal, seeing as how he was storming a mountain fortress alone to save his boyfriend. I also included a shield, since normally he's all about attacking, I wanted to change it and make focus, at least a little on defense. I had alot of fun designing the bad guys to, well at least the Venus ladies. They were kick ass to draw, and all my friends loved them.

Zombie Room

Well zombies seem to be the highlight of my week. Today in freshman studies (which is a ridiculos class that serves no purpose) me and a group of my friends had to do a presentation on the zombie apocolypse. Now the assignment was to do a presentation on a religion or subculture, and somehow my friend Sarah talked the teacher into letting us do zombies. Well the presentation went well but it has nothing to do with this picture. This picture was a room in two point perspective that I drew for perspective class. I think it turned out great and I am very proud of it.
